Ingredients - Nana Harris' Pastry

Preparation - Nana Harris' Pastry

Mix flour, salt and baking powder together then cut shortening into mixture. Break egg into measuring cup, fill with COLD water to make one cup. Add teaspoon of vinegar, stir well. Pour into flour mixture and mix with a fork and then mix with hands. Divide into four or five portions (balls). Form into pastry shells in cup cake pan. Freeze portions not used immediately.

Preparation - Butter Tarts

Beat ingredients with mixer and pour into pastry shells. Cook at 350 degrees for 10 minutes and then reduce heat to 325 degrees for an additional 15 minutes.
